Sales at De Plattekloof Lifestyle Estate have now hit the R114 million mark, after a period of only 120 days. This elite lifestyle estate, which offers the best of modern living for the over-50s, secured R56 million of these sales in its first 30 days after launching. De Plattekloof Lifestyle Estate offers a five-star environment with an intimate resort-type feel in a superb setting – and certainly seems to have hit the spot in terms of demand.

De Plattekloof Lifestyle Estate is a project of Arun Lifestyle, backed by Arun Holdings and Old Mutual. Says Johan Loubscher of Arun Lifestyle:  “With R114 million in sales in 120 days, we are extremely pleased at the interest and uptake in De Plattekloof Lifestyle Estate to date. This certainly indicates that our objective for this to be one of the most prestigious and desirable estates for the over-50s in the Western Cape is hitting the mark. The supreme location, world-class views of Table Mountain, security, range of facilities and property options on offer have clearly made the right impression. In addition, the estate’s situation on the cusp of the Northern Suburbs means that it is attracting buyers from both greater Cape Town as well as the Northern Suburbs.”

Three different types of properties are available in De Plattekloof Lifestyle Estate: 106 assisted living suites, 98 independent living apartments, and 57 exquisite homes, which include designer finishes and appliances from high-level manufacturers, including Smeg. An award-winning interior designer forms part of professional team and service offering. Construction is already well under way and a fully furnished show apartment and a scale model of the development are available for viewing. The main gatehouse to the estate is also virtually complete.

Set for completion in November/December this year, Tijgerzicht  includes studios and one- and two-bedroom assisted living suites which, depending on floor level, offer beautiful views of the gardens, the slopes of Tygerberg Nature Reserve, and Table Mountain and the coastline from Fish Hoek to Bloubergstrand. Equipped with a 24-hour emergency call system for assistance at the press of a button, these suites give residents the opportunity to enjoy the privacy of their own apartments or to interact with fellow residents in the luxurious five-star lounge and communal dining area. Tijgerzicht suites feature high-quality finishes and are priced from R1 203 000 including transfer duty. The facility also includes a 12-bed frailcare unit.

Adds Loubscher: “No doubt the fact that De Plattekloof Lifestyle estate includes an on-site healthcare facility is also a major drawcard. This includes a clinic, 24-hour nursing and other healthcare services offered by Medwell SA. Healthcare options are personalised and tailor-made to specific circumstances and needs. For the lighter side of life, the estate clubhouse will offer function facilities and activities ranging from bridge to reading, music and hiking clubs, cinema and theatre nights and organised outings.
